Had I not created my whole world,
I would certainly have died in other people’s!
What happens when your lover finds you another one? Was this not the World I’d created?
We are all just one small adjustment away from making our lives complete.
I make adjustments all the time. As humans, we look for perfection in everything we do.
Typically, this time of year things become very hectic where I live. With the Monaco F1 Grand Prix and the Cannes Film Festival right on top of each other and with Nice being the airport of choice for both venues it all becomes way too busy. It was time for me to steal away for a few days.
Usual I would visit my sister Geneva in Switzerland. The statement alone gets me some strange looks. To clarify, my sister’s name is Geneva, and she did live in Geneva for part of the year until recently. I would stay with her while friends of mine stayed at my villa for the Grand Prix. Now Geneva was living with me, so, we had to have a re-think.
I’d had a fantastic time helping my friend Bo with the entertainment for the Cannes Film Festival after parties. and getting us into all sorts of restricted area. Now it was time to leave town.
I thought my sister — with the help of Juliet — would come up with a solution for our exodus. Well mostly Geneva, Juliet was a little quiet. We’d been bouncing ideas around for weeks and now was the time to make our decision.
Geneva was talking about changing the locks on her city apartment. She was now going through the anger stage. I had expected Juliet to give comment on this but again remained silent. We had spent so much time together, and I knew she had something bubbling away inside her which was going to burst out at some point. Geneva stopped talking when she realized my attention was fixed on Juliet.
In the ensuing silence, she spoke… “I have the opportunity for a new job in Geneva.” Is what she said.
“Then you should take time off and come with us to explore the possibility,” I wanted her to come.
She cried. I’ve made her cry three times since we have known each other and for many reasons, this time it was different. I pulled her onto my lap and held her until she was ready to talk. I could be potentially losing her, but this wasn’t about me.
She had gotten herself into trouble when she’d called in sick a couple of weeks ago for one of our adventures, and her boss hadn’t treated her right since. In the meantime, an old flame told her about a job that she was perfect for. The company called her and more or less told her she would get the position if she interviewed.
My sister and I both said she needed this.
She said she would not last a long-distance relationship and would probably end up back in the arms of her ex. Ouch!
My heart is about as hardy as a loose light bulb living in boxes of hammers on board a stormy boat. I fall in love way too quickly. I crush on every cute girl I get close to. Men affect me differently, but girls…I just can’t help myself over.
As I said this wasn’t about me, it was a great opportunity for Juliet, and I was going to help her make it happen even if I had to put her life on a collision course with her ex-girlfriend and lose her in the process.
Geneva, as usual, had many options and knew me well enough that I’d help Juliet. She said she would change the locks on the apartment she owned with her cheating husband, now she would be renting it out to Juliet and for next to nothing. Her neighbor was keeping an eye on the place, and no one had been there in months.
So, it was set. I had the hard task of dropping Freddie and Kevin off at an incredibly busy airport, and I wasn’t sure when I was going to see them again.
More about their visit next week. It is going to be a tough tale to tell, and I’m not sure how you are all going to react to this story. Anyway, more about that next week.
Geneva had had a rental agreement quickly put together that gave Juliet an iron clad contract for up to two years and there was nothing her husband could do about it. 24-hours before we were due to make the six-hour drive the usual fun came our way.
Hugo rang me, and after we had caught up he asked, would I be willing to meet Captain Jane? Who?
He’d told me about her before but, I was a little confused at his offering. It was only three days since we spoke last and now he was with Jane, how? I asked him to start again, and it made more sense. He and Captain Jane were just good friends. She was only into girls, and there was a whole lot I liked about her. He’d filled me in with the story about them.
One night on leave when they were both extremely drunk she said she would always make an exception for him. He’d shown me her profile on Facebook, and the idea of a 3some with them was appealing.
He’d been at his current post for seven weeks but hadn’t known she was also based there until two days previous. He’d told her everything about us, and he didn’t leave out his own new seχual discoveries either, which I love. He told me she was captivated.
She was due four weeks leave and needed somewhere to go other than England and time spent with her parents where they would subtlety compare her life to her successful married sisters. I understood. He said she would beg and I liked the sound of that. On a daily basis I asked?
She had a travel pass to fly her anywhere into Europe in the next two days. I’d made up my mind there and then. “Have her fly into Geneva and ring me on my cell phone, and I’ll meet her at the airport.” I offered no guarantee, if we hit it off then maybe we could spend some time together, if not she was on her own.
It all sounded hard, clinical and a little vague, but I’d seen her in pictures and knew I already liked her. As long as she didn’t come across to butch, then I could see her sharing my bed for the four-weeks. I would take it slow, I like to be wooed, and dated at first. Have a drink or coffee and talk, or as my sister calls it, the interview.
So what, if Hugo has told her all she needs to know about me! She’ll know I’m a complete sIut and she’ll have to be the same.
With some more arrangements, everything fell into place. Juliet was all over the place emotionally, and we made her talk to us the whole journey. If she wanted this, she was going to damn well do it and not talk herself out of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Her new job really would be unique!
She fell in love with my sister’s apartment in the center of Geneva. She took her interview and got the job on the spot – which didn’t surprise me in the least. We then met her ex, and she couldn’t be nicer the lucky b/tch. The story had no sting in its tail other than yours truly being dumped, but GI Jane was coming, and that’s the name Geneva insisted on calling her, (not her real name).
Captain Jane’s call came, and I took my short cab journey to the airport to meet her. In times like this, all the questions are gone, just action and following the path I’d made in my own world. I first saw her in the airport bar talking with a Virgin Airlines air hostess, my favorite. She had good taste.
She was wearing a tight t-shirt, and her b00bs looked amazing. I knew about the tattoo on her right arm — red roses set on tanned skin. She would more than do, I already wanted her and knew she’d be coming home with me. She spotted me, made her excuses and came over. Enter the captivating Captain Jane.
“Hello, Olivia.” Her husky voice was even better face-to-face. In fact, it almost dropped me. We sat and talked for a while — it was necessary — just as a tease, and enjoyed it the more knowing Jane had a look in her eyes I haven’t seen often. It was me, reflected. We shared something inside that I was unaware of right then, I could sense it, but was yet to put into words. Ḽust yes, but a hell of a lot more.
We had a meal out as a group and made a toast to Juliet’s new life. Jane sat close. I’d brought her up to speed on current events in my complicated life, and she was happy to show her affections below the table. She would fit in well. My sister had eyes for her too. No great surprise!
Geneva, Jane and I left a day early to return home, leaving Juliet to rekindle her love with her not so ex-girlfriend. We planned for the following week and how I would help her move. I spared her a long goodbye, she was an emotional wreck, and her new girlfriend was eager to step in. It would be tough, and I’d miss her, but now I had Jane, and she was just right for me.
I gave Hugo the news about how Jane had agreed to beg me for seχ every time, she liked the game. One day the three of us would be together, and the thought of this drove me forward. Hugo was my other half, and now I’d fallen for Jane…
More stories of Jane are coming your way in the weeks to come.
(The events in this story took place some years ago.)
